Millions of years ago, huge monster-like creatures lived on the land and in the water. They were not 4 your typical monsters, they were dinosaurs.
The Carcharodontosaurus, also known as the Shark Toothed Lizard, was 40 feet long and had a strong sense of smell. It was dangerous when hunting in packs. It was similar to a T. Rex and a Great White Shark. the Carcharodontosaurus weighed more than a school bus.
The Aegisuchus, aka shieldcroc, was 30 feet long. It had a shield-shaped skull which was used to fight and to regulate internal temperature. It also had a large jaw and weighed almost 20,000 pounds.
The Coelacanth, also called Old Four Legs, was seven feet long and preyed on smaller fish. It was 1,000 pounds and went extinct 70 million years ago. However, a descendant of the Coelacanth was caught off the coast of South Africa in 1938.
Sawfish, or Carpenter Shark, was 25 feet long and about 700 pounds. It had sharp barbed teeth attached to its head, which were used to fight.
