Hello my name is Yani Thoronka. I am 11 years old and going to 6th grade at Georgia O’keefe Middle School. I was born in Bo, Sierra Leone in a house, and I moved to Madison,WI when I was 5 almost 6.
My favorite colors are sea foam green and all shades of blue. My favorite animals are dolpins and big cats. My favorite sports are basketball and soccer, and my favorite soccer player is Lionel Messi. I like to listen to Alessia Cara songs when I am cleaning or I listen to them for fun. Some of my hobbies are singing, reading, and writing poems. I used to have a dog, but when I came here I couldn’t get one because it was too expensive to take care of it if it got sick. If I ever did get a dog it would be a pomsy or a pomeriam. A pomsy is a mix of a husky and a pomeriam.
I am working at the Simpson Street Free Press because I want to get better at writing and I love writing.I have learned to look for more details in my articles and I also have learned a lot about the animals I have written my articles about.
