Ring-tailed lemurs are one of the most social animals in the world. They can often be found in a group spending hours soaking up the sun.
Ring-tailed lemurs are the most recognizable of all lemurs. They have black and white fur, and their tails have black and white stripes. Their eyes look mostly light brown with a little yellow. The ring-tailed lemurs are territorial and can sometimes be aggressive.
Ring-tailed lemurs gather in groups larger than any other lemur group. The female lemurs are the most highly-ranked, and they have more power over the male lemurs. The high-ranked male lemurs are proud, holding their heads high, while the lower-ranked male lemurs keep their heads down. However, they are all very sociable with one another.
Ring-tailed lemurs need to travel a lot throughout the forest to get food. They eat many things, including flowers, fruit, bark, and sometimes invertebrates.
Ring-tailed lemurs are interesting, social animals.
