Autobiography

My name is Alana Ringen. I am 11 years old and in 6th grade. I was born in Portland, Oregon, and moved to Madison when I was a little younger than one years old. After living in Madison for almost ten years, my parents moved to Stoughton and McFarland. I have a mother and a father, two brothers, my dad's girlfriend, and her three sons. I also live with a dog named Dezi and a cat named Butterscotch. Some of my best friends are the one and only Lileah, the wonderful Izamara, and the fabulous Jessie! A few of my hobbies are hiking, swimming, and hanging out with friends.

I have worked at Simpson Street Free Press for only about a year, but used to work at Falk Free Press, a division of Simpson Street Free Press for two years. I work at Simpson Street because I love to learn, and when you are at Simpson Street Free Press you can always learn something new. I also work here because I love journalism and writing. While working here, I have learned so much about the subjects of my articles. Like that snow leopards have padded paws, or that archerfish can recognize human faces. Simpson Street Free Press is not only a job, but a community, a family, and it has been a wonderful experience for me to be lucky enough to have, and continue having.
