Movie Review: Deadpool & Wolverine

In the summer of 2024, director Shawn Levy made "Deadpool and Wolverine," starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. It instantly became a hit, and it ended up earning around $1.3 billion at the box office. The movie is available to watch on Disney+. The film is amazing, and it's especially good if you like a blend of action and comedy.

The long-awaited movie starts with our main character, Wade Wilson, also known as Deadpool. He is walking over to the one and only Wolverine's grave. Then Wade digs up his adamantium skeleton and uses it to fight against the TVA (Time Variance Authority). Wade doesn't want to join the TVA because his timeline was going to get destroyed with all of his loved ones that he saved in the previous film, "Deadpool 2."

Wade Wilson had hopes and dreams to become an Avenger, but they were cut short, as he was quickly rejected.

After Deadpool fights the TVA, he teleports around the multiverse to find the perfect Wolverine, also known as Logan, to help him save his universe. Deadpool finds the best Logan, or so he thinks; however, it turns out the Wolverine he chose destroyed his own universe. This complicates Deadpool's quest to save everyone in his own universe. Deadpool is funny, weird, and charismatic. In comparison, Wolverine is more serious and angry. These two characters complement each other in the movie and add unique complexity to the story.

Deadpool and Wolverine both have healing factors. They received these powers in a project called Weapons X, which was a very torturous and dangerous treatment.

In 2017, Hugh Jackman said that Logan was going to be his last movie as Wolverine. It was big news among fans that he would be coming back for "Deadpool and Wolverine." Wolverine wasn't the only character that made a surprise appearance in "Deadpool and Wolverine."

Overall, I believe this was a great movie filled with action and funny moments. If you and some of your friends want to watch something that is intense but you can also laugh at, then you should definitely put "Deadpool and Wolverine" high on your watch list!

Even if you’re not a big Marvel fan and have not seen the previous Deadpool or Wolverine movies, I would still recommend that you give this movie a shot!
