Sleep Inn hotel, tucked away at 4802 Tradewinds Parkway in south Madison, will soon receive an upgrade. Developers plan to nearly double the accommodations offered at this location with the construction of a MainStay Suites hotel.
The plan will add 70 rooms to the 89-room hotel.
“Travelers will have two choices in one hotel - the traditional Sleep Inn hotel and the MainStay Suites extended stay option,” said Kevin Wilson, owner of both hotels.
Choice Hotels International, parent company of Sleep Inn and MainStay Suites, also owns the Comfort Inn, Quality, Clarion, Econo Lodge, and Rodeway. MainStay Suites is different than other hotels because of its extended stay option. The hotel’s suites include up to two bedrooms, a living space, and a full kitchen furnished with a refrigerator, oven, stove top, full cabinetry, and counter space.
Madison does not currently have many residential hotels. Wilson and developers hope MainStay Suites will fulfill the need for travelers whose visits require extended stays.
